I can only think that your low fps are from either not overclocking your 2500K (it was one of the finest overclockers available), or your videocard (bare entry level for P3d or FSX), or that your settings are too high. In answer to your original question, I have a ton of traffic bgls, many working together with MT6. If you get the programme you will see what I mean. Result is 100% ai at the airport but fps now in the 30's. Click on optimize, all planes at Birmingham airport are still there on the ground and taxiing, but a whole raft of flights around the ai spawning area are deleted. An example being UK Birmingham, 100% traffic, starting fps 15. You can the see it will delete upto several hundred flights around the area yo are in and subsequently it increases the fps. This would cripple my sytem in a heavy area like San francisco or Heathrow etc, but when the sim has loaded I open Airtrafficmanager and click on optimize. What happens is that when i set a flight I set the traffic to 40% (=100% of ai). I used AIFP 3 to stabilise the Activity Levels of most of my traffic bgls so that 100% of flights were now at an even 40% setting in my sim (P3Dv3) I then set AirTrafficManager to Target Count 40 (planes).

It will delete flights within the spawn area of your plane but still maintain loads of flights. I suggest you look at AirTrafficManager which is a freebie and works really well.
